A high profile Côtes du Rhône with notes of black fruit and pepper. On the palate it is very well-structured with elegant tannins. Some aromas of candied red fruits and a hint of liquorice. The finish is long on the palate. A delight.more reviews

Stunning vintage, a wine that's already very well-aged and will probably give us a few surprises over time. Powerful, tannic, black fruits and oak notes. You'll love it or hate it.

A magnificent wine in the tarot style. I love its labels. I'm keeping some to age for a few years - a big thank you to Mr Xavier Vignon.

Quite typical, classic red. Intensive nose cherry, stone and tomato (?). Velvet palate , notes of cherry and pepper. I love more complex , but obviously this one fits rare steak well..

What an utterly exceptional wine! I love all of Xavier Vignon's wines but this is the best I have yet tasted. An initial savoury/sweet hit of strawberries touched with balsamic gives way to sugared fruits. Great length. A wine to savour. Went brilliantly with Provencale beef in red wine.

This bottle has just perfected my secret stash of Xavier Vignon wines. Whoever found how to find its personality has delighted my taste buds during meals. It's a wine full of character and I recommend it.

XAVIER VIGNON

Xavier Vignon is one of the most renowned oenologists in the Rhone wine region. He has worked as a consultant to more than 200 wineries in the Rhone Valley and has gained a worldwide reputation for his expertise and collaboration on the best wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. He started his own production in 2002, and the winery is now known for wines of exceptional quality and Xavier Vignon's own style of wine, both of which make him a successful winemaker. Elegant and well-balanced wines that beautifully reflect the terroir, because terroir and minerality are the philosophy of his work and not only in wine production, as he also runs an oenological institute, where he explores these aspects. His wines obtain the highest scores in the Robert Parker Guide.
