Guillaume, the son of Francis de Conti, arrived at Château Tour des Gendres in 2011. His brother Paul joined him in 2013, and Yann Lecoindre arrived in 2017 as cellar master. After five years of working together in the vineyard, the cellar and the wine shop, Guillaume, Yann and Paul are now certain that the trio works in perfect harmony. All three are determined to embark on a new adventure and breathe new life into the village of Saint-Julien d'Eymet. The decision was made to create the Albert de Conti estate, where the oldest vines were planted by Albert, Guillaume and Paul's grandfather, in 1966. They have a number of projects in mind to move forward. Thirty hectares of organic farming are already in production, with the ambition of moving towards certain principles of biodynamics and agroforestry. A range of wines consistent with the traditions of this appellation, both in terms of the grape varieties used and the style of wine. "Cuvée des Conti", the flagship cuvée for 30 years, "Conti-ne Périgourdine", the beautiful Muscadelle, and the "Chez Paul" cuvée, a pure Cabernet Sauvignon , already offer us three serious and renowned wines. "La Vigne d'Albert" and "Pétillant Naturel" are part of our heritage. Two sulphur-free and offbeat wines that have found their audience in just a few years. The entire stock is managed by allocation and the wines are sold out within a few weeks of bottling. Wine lovers take note! But the trio has been struck by a desire to seek out exotic flavours elsewhere. Two new grape varieties, completely new to the appellation, will be planted in spring 2022: work in progress and surprises to come! The Albert de Conti estate wants to be where people expect it to be: a beautiful estate offering great red and white wines from the Bergerac appellation. But also where people don't expect it to be at all: wines bearing the "Périgord" Protected Geographical Indication, which allow it to showcase its region, but without any restrictions on grape varieties.
