LEAVE YOUR REVIEWI opened a bottle of this CdR on Saturday evening. I was pleasantly surprised how smooth and easy to drink it was. Spicy with hints of herbs and cassis. I would definitely buy this wine again.
I usually buy Guigal Côtes du Rhône as this domaine is a sound investment. I think this one is just as good, perhaps even better. It has a pronounced fruitiness, but not too much, and it goes perfectly with meat or cheese.
Pleasant finish. You can taste the freshness. It's a well-made wine - drink it with grilled meat.
18/20 for its value for money. A very good, fruity and balanced Côtes du Rhône to drink now as long as you let it breathe beforehand in a decanter, for example.
A good full bodied wine. A very good value for money.
Nice CDR for the price! Nose of fruits and spice, palace a nice blend of blackcurrant and spice with a hint of earth and a medium finish. Will buy again
Beautiful delicious wine , you just can’t get enough of it , beautiful color and great tas, you and YouTube friends are going to love it, just keep it to room temperature!
Review left on COTES DU RHONE - RICHETTE 2016 - PATRICK LESECTried and listed as a favourite. It will definitely be on my next orders. A very good length and really light for the 14%. Delighted with this find.
Medium intensity nose of ripe plum, blackberry, black cherry, jam, vanilla, tobacco, chocolate and clove.
Medium acidity, medium (+) body with medium dry tannins, medium flavour intensity and medium (+) finish.
Good structure, ok balance (alcohol stands out) and quality per price!
A wine that did not impress me at all. I had higher expectations from a Cote du Rhone 2016, a year that was very good for the region. It's definitely not one of my favorites.
I thoroughly enjoyed this Cotes-du-Rhône and ended up serving it at a dinner party after some other wine and my guests thought it was an expensive wine. Lovely notes of plum, blackberry, cinnamon, caramel and vanilla. Cannot beat the value and highly recommend!
Great wine for the value ! You absolutely can't go wrong with that one. Easy to drink with anything. I recommend to pair it with chicken, turkey or pork.
Since long time a wine importer, Patrick Lesec is a good connoisseur of the Rhône valley. Based in Uzès, he created a small house which is dedicated to a range oriented towards wines from the southern sector which covers the heart of the region, that is to say from a triangle located between Nîmes, Avignon and Orange. French by origin, he fell into wine in the 1980s, opening a restaurant and an import company in Santa Barbara, California. Convinced that many terroirs are under-exploited or even mistreated by the techniques of modern oenology. Back in France, it was in Burgundy that he began a micro-trade, working with world-famous winegrowers. His work focuses on collaborations with winegrowers with great terroirs with great potential. Today, it is also expanding its activities in the southern Rhône Valley and Languedoc. Its annual production represents 50,000 bottles.
