GREAT SUMMER WINES!

If it's true that rosé wines are the most popular summer wines, the Provence reds are real treasures to accompany your summer evenings around a barbecue. Among them, those of the Coteaux-d'Aix-en-Provence appellation offer fresh and supple red wines that will adapt perfectly to the cool night after a hot and sunny day.

Where the appellation is located? Bordered by the Durance to the north and the Mediterranean to the south, by the Rhone plains to the west and Provence to the east, surrounding the Etang de Berre, the AOC Coteaux-d'Aix-en-Provence belongs to the western part of limestone Provence.

The appellation : The hillsides of Aix-en-Provence boast an AOC recognised since 1985. Marked by the Mistral wind and by an annual sunshine of about 2900 hours, the region benefits from a Mediterranean climate. The sunny hillsides of the vineyards of the Aix-en-Provence produce wines that come in three colours: red wines of character, fresh and fruity rosé wines, and white wines with subtle aromas.

Which grape varieties? The red wines of the appellation are made from Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Counoise, Mourvèdre (each limited to 40%) and Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon (each limited to 30%).
