The Commanderie de la Bargemone is located 15 km from Aix-en- Provence . It was founded in the thirteenth century by the Order of the Templars. The vineyard covers more than 120 hectares of vines in the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence appellation. The estate has been certified in organic farming since 2015. The estate is traditionally oriented towards the production of rosé and white wine . La Bargemone benefits from the specificities of the terroir of Provence: clay-limestone and stony soils which promote the maturity of the grapes. The Mediterranean climate, very sunny and dry, marked by the Mistral, allows the vines to be refreshed while protecting them from diseases. The estate's wines are presented with elegance, finesse and freshness. They have received several awards from critics.
