CHATEAU GAZIN 2017

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Bordeaux / Pomerol AOC / 13,5 % vol

"A dense and flavorful red already with dark-berry, seaweed and wet-earth undertones. Full body and round and chewy tannins. Serious for the vintage." James Suckling
This Château Gazin, although less powerful and complex than its predecessors, offers a beautiful balance where roundness and freshness are combined. Its 15 months of maturing in new barrels and one-wine barrels provide a nice structure and refine the tannins. With its dark red colour, the nose presents aromas of red and black fruits (cherry, blueberry), mixed with discreet notes of vanilla and spice (nutmeg). There is also a hint of menthol in the background, typical of Cabernet Franc, which adds a note of freshness. On the palate, after a round and silky attack, we find the red and black fruit aromas of the olfaction, associated with floral notes. The wine has a nice sweetness and a nice volume without becoming too heavy. A fine vintage focused on the elegance of the fruit and ready to be enjoyed!

CHÂTEAU GAZIN

With its 24 hectares in one piece, Château Gazin is the largest of the best Pomerol crus, a rank that the château has maintained since the end of the 1980s thanks to considerable work. Nicolas de Baillencourt produces there, with regularity, an excellent wine with a classic structure and which ages admirably.
