This 2019 stands out for its depth and aromatic character. The nose is pure and complex, with crisp notes of red fruits, violet, tobacco and sweet spices. On the palate it is voluminous, structured, rounded and sanguine on the finish. A sure value!more reviews

An elegant, perfectly-expressed Saint-Julien!
A neighbour of Beychevelle, the Château Branaire-Ducru is one of Médoc's great Saint-Julien wineries. This Château, well-known since the 17th century and classified as Quatrième Cru in 1855, has maintained its focus on quality, as evidenced by its latest vintages, which attain a truly remarkable level. This vintage reveals exceptional character and marvellously illustrates the charm of its prestigious appellation... With a long and flavoursome finish, this wine possesses perfect elegance!

CHÂTEAU BRANAIRE-DUCRU

Produced over a 50-hectare parcel of quaternery gravel and previously part of the Château Beychevelle estate, Château Branaire-Ducru is one of the little-known gems of the Médoc. This Bordeaux wine is of an exemplary quality, standing out from its famous neighbour for its originality. Tasting inevitably reveals the red fruits and elegant tannins, a touch of spice and a chocolate flavour that's rare in the Saint-Julien appellation. Other points to note are the modern, gravity fermentation cellar (no pumps) that preserves the integrity of the fruit and the terroir along with a significant proportion - at least 50% - of the ageing barrels are new.
