LEAVE YOUR REVIEWA very high-flying wine in which the Chenin expresses the touch and talent of the winegrower, who is even better known for sweet wines. But what a mastery of tension and minerality balanced by complex fruit aromas enhanced by a few floral notes.
A fruity wine that I tasted with a fish soup (maybe not the best match because the wine is fruity) a good impression. A slightly soft attack but a second sweet fruity sensation.
Fresh, juicy and mouth-filling. Amazing texture and length, though still a baby. Just a touch of residual sugars. Complex perfume of pears, stone fruit, white flowers and a ghost of Chenin Blanc's characteristic wax and honey aromas.
This Vouvray opens with pretty notes of white fruits and lemony aromas supported by a nice tension and a very clean minerality. An excellent wine to keep. I am immediately won over!
Armand Foreau wrote the first pages of Clos Naudin in 1910, with only his courage, his passion and a few vines in Vouvray as weapons. A true witness to the tenacity of the Foreau, the Clos Naudin cellar was hand-dug by Armand and will not be completed until after sixty years of hard work. His descendant André, will bring the estate to the top of the appellation until 82, in turn leaving his own son Philippe to sign his first vintage. If it is then acquired that Clos Naudin is one of the greatest whites of the Loire, Philippe, accompanied by his son Vincent since 2007, in the purest family tradition, confirm the quality of the wines and further increase their regularity. Philippe and Vincent admirably perpetuate the legend offering the tasting of free juices, masterful balance, long and gourmet finishes. A successful and mastered recipe so that the wines will last through the years. Here are some sublime wines from one of the most emblematic areas of the Loire, Clos Naudin.
