LEAVE YOUR REVIEWAromas of blackberries, cherries and blackcurrants are noticeable. A real treat with a good tournedos. It deserves to be aged for a few more years but already seduces many.
Owned by the Malet Roquefort family, Château la Gaffelière is a very attractive estate in Saint-Emilion. It champions a traditional, yet creamy style without excess with its finesse built into in the second part of the palate. Due to the Derenoncourt consultant team's assistance and some significant investment, the château has returned to its previous great status after a tough time that's now well behind it. A Premier Grand Cru Classé that's worth the detour - it hasn't finished surprising us and it's still available at a reasonable price.
