A great success with this second wine from one of the most harmonious Saint-Émilion crus!!
A second wine of Château Valandraud, Virginie de Valandraud was born in 1992 as a homage to Jean-Luc Thunevin's daughter, Virginie. Since 1997 it has come completely from the Château Valandraud vineyard, and has been cultivated and vinified in the same manner as its big sibling. This vintage, with its beautiful, bright hue, unleashes a precise and alluring nose that is a call to taste it. On the palate, the wine confirms its great potential in a palate that is as indulgent as you could wish and a beautiful finish... full of harmony!!!

Excellent Saint-Emilion Grand Cru of 2014, we can easily recognize the Bordeaux as well as the multitude of aromas for which this château is famous, very powerful and very complex. I recommend.

Creamy and deep, generous flavour, fine and dense tannins. Beautiful wine. It delighted all the guests around a beautiful rib steak à la Bordelaise. Excellent!

CHÂTEAU VALANDRAUD

Fruit of the considerable work of a couple passionate about wine, Jean-Luc Thunevin and Murielle Andraud. Château Valandraud was born in 1991 on a 0.6 ha plot bought with all the savings of the couple. The château was promoted to Premier Grand Cru Classé in the 2012 classification of Saint-Emilion Grands Crus. Today the 8.88 ha of the estate are now entirely located on the clay-limestone plateau of Saint Etienne de Lisse. The average age of the vines is 30 years, the oldest over 50 years. The wine undergoes ageing in new barrels for 18 to 30 months. The prices of their wines quickly reached those of the appellation's Premier Crus, and Robert Parker's notes exceeded those of Ausone and Cheval Blanc in 1995.
