Roussette de Savoie AOC

The AOC Roussette de Savoie extends over 1300 hectares from Frangy, along the river Usses, to Monthoux, then via Marestel on the edge of the Lac du Bourget and finally to Monterminod. We often find these names added to the AOC on the label. The only grape variety authorized for this AOC is Altesse, also known as Roussette. While wines from this appellation are to be drunk young, in certain vintages, the wine will improve with age, reaching a potential of up to 10 years of cellaring! Located between lakes and mountains, the vineyard benefits from a climate favourable to the elaboration of wines of great finesse. Colour: A pretty straw yellow with green highlights
Nose: When it is well chilled and has opened, aromas of fresh nuts as well as dried and even exotic fruits are revealed in the glass. Toasted notes reminiscent of hazelnut can be found in certain vintages..
Mouth : A frank and lively attack giving way to dried fruit and nutty flavours that are found on the nose. The length in the mouth found in Roussettes de Savoie makes it a wine that is just as pleasant to drink as an aperitif as it is with a meal.
