Meursault AOC

Meursault, located in the Côte de Beaune sub-region of Burgundy, is very highly regarded even though it doesn't have any Grand Cru vineyards. The most admired Premiers Crus are les Charmes, les Perrières and les Genevrières. The production is almost entirely white wine from Chardonnay grapes. However some red wine from Pinot Noir is also produced. The red wines are tender and smooth. The white wines are rich and full-bodied and they display a beautiful bouquet of buttery, nutty notes alongside some finer citrus aromas. A perfect match with grilled lobster, crawfish, or king prawns in sauce.
