Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil AOC

Located between the city of Tours and the city of Angers in the Loire Valley, Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil gives its name to both the AOC and the village in which it is located. Although Cabernet Franc is considered the sole grape variety of this appellation, up to 5% Cabernet Sauvignon is tolerated in the production of the nectar. The wines of Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil are distinguished by the terroir. Depending on whether the vines have grown in loamy gravel soil or in limestone soil with tuffeau stone, the wines will have a completely different character!
