Côtes du Jura AOC
The whole range of Jura wines is represented: white wines made from Chardonnay and Savagnin, red wines made from Poulsard, Trousseau and Pinot Noir, rosé wines, Vin Jaune, Vin de Paille and crémants. The white wine dominates, it is dry, firm and vigorous and shows floral notes that delight the palate. It can be drunk for up to two or three years. The red wine resembles the rosé in its clear colour. It ranges from light to medium-bodied and can be drunk for up to ten years. The Vin Jaune is obtained only from the Savagnin variety after six years and three months of maturing under a film of yeast. Its golden yellow colour is inimitable and it delivers tasty notes of dried fruits to the palate. It can be drunk for up to thirty years, sometimes more! The Vin de Paille is made from dried grapes hung or spread out on wooden slats covered with straw. It begins to age in barrels, then in bottles. The result is inimitable: dressed in its golden amber colour, it is vigorous in the mouth and reveals aromas of candied fruits, caramel, gingerbread, honey and cinnamon, ideal for the festive period.
