Head to Germany for the first wine trip! German wines have long suffered from a bad reputation and are now well known. Indeed, today Germany offers wines of exceptional quality, with in particular the Riesling grape. It expresses itself perfectly in the great German vineyards and is revealed through a unique balance between acidity and sugar.
Riesling produces elegant, lively and racy wines. It reveals all its minerality and freshness on the palate. It is vinified dry but it also produces sweet and luscious wines.
The Riesling Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auslese is captivating with its power, richness and incredible fruity intensity.
On the palate, it reveals a remarkable purity, enhanced by aromas of pineapple and yellow peach. Its balance between complexity and precision makes it an exceptional wine.
The finish, dazzling and crystalline, illustrates all the expertise of the Markus Molitor estate. A cuvée of great finesse, both authentic and vibrant, which promises an unforgettable taste experience.
A stopover in Italy to discover a great wine that will awaken your taste buds! The Italian red wine Barolo is an exceptional wine and ranks among the greatest wines in the world. The grape variety of the Barolo appellation is Nebbiolo: a grape variety native to Piedmont, a region in northern Italy renowned for its terroir, cuisine and fine wines.
Nebbiolo produces sought-after wines with an intense garnet colour and slight orange hues. These remarkable wines have aromas of violet, rose, truffle and sometimes even tar. The best wines can be kept for at least ten years and develop complex tertiary aromas of great elegance. Nebbiolo wine is full-bodied, spicy and tannic, revealing aromas of red fruits, violets and roses on the palate.
Barolo Cannubi, located in the village of Barolo, is the most famous and prestigious vineyard in the appellation. The E.Pira e Figli estate can now boast of being the first organic winery in Barolo to produce wines typical of the Langhe region.
The composition of the soil and the perfect southern exposure of the vineyard give the grapes an extraordinary singularity. A wine of great class that expresses the elegance of the territory from which it comes. The wine is aged for 24 months in French oak barrels and 12 months in the bottle before being released. The nose is persistent, with intense aromas of red fruit, cherry and plum, and floral notes including rose. On the palate, it shows a beautiful structure, a full and velvety taste, with a long harmonious finish.
Also to be discovered on our site, the Domenico Clerico and Roberto Voerzio estates, which contribute to the reputation of the Barolo appellation.
Veneto is an Italian wine region with a fine reputation and a variety of outstanding wines that are known worldwide. The main wines of the region are mostly made from three main indigenous grape varieties:
Valpolicella, an Italian fine red wine, is one of the most prestigious appellations in Italy, just like Barolo or Brunello di Montalcino. The best examples are full-bodied and spiced wines that can be kept for over 15 years. One of the greatest wines of the region is the Amarone della Valpolicella made from dried (passito) grapes.
The Dal Forno Romano estate is located in the Valpolicella appellation and produces exceptional wines. In 30 years, the absolute quest for quality in the vineyard has allowed the estate to rise to the highest world level by receiving numerous awards.
This Valpolicella Superiore Monte Lodoletta is bursting with dense concentration and inky colour. The palate is imposing and the sensations are a long succession of flavours of black fruits, spices and smoky notes. The wine is full bodied and opulent, but it carries this massive intensity with grace and precision. An exceptional Italian wine, to taste at least once in a lifetime!
Tuscany, a great Italian region that is often compared to Bordeaux for its great wines. Tuscan wines like Chianti Classico and Brunello di Montalcino are among the most famous in the world.
Since the 1970s, Tuscany has been producing a new category of premium wines: the Super Tuscans. The particularity of these wines is the blending of different Bordeaux grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc or Merlot with the indigenous Tuscan flagship grape, Sangiovese. Aged in oak barrels, these wines are both intense and supple with an elegant finish. Super Tuscans are now among the most highly regarded and expensive red wines in Italy, with some bottles going for over £400!
After 30 months of ageing in barrels, the Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova is distinguished by its impressive richness and texture. The excellence of the fruit is combined with the characteristic elegance of Giacomo Neri.
This vintage reveals aromas of toasted spices, black fruits, ink, blackberry compote, liquorice and star anise. Dark and intense in colour, it has a beautiful tannic structure and a remarkably fruity concentration. With exceptional ageing potential, it can also be enjoyed after an hour of aeration, especially with meat.
Our wine journey ends in Spain, with the discovery of the Ribera del Duero wine region! This appellation enjoys ideal conditions for making great wines and has developed considerably in recent years.
The wines of Ribera del Duero are mainly red wines, made from the flagship grape variety, Tempranillo: the best known grape in Spain. They are wines with a very elegant nose, fruity with notes of leather and aromatics. On the palate, there is a fine balance between power and delicacy with aromatic complexity. The most famous Spanish wine producer comes from the Ribera del Duero: Vega Sicilia.
Number 1 in Spain, Unico Reserva Especial embodies excellence through a multi-vintage cuvée, made from the best batches of Unico from three distinct harvests of Tinto Fino and Cabernet Sauvignon.
True to the iconic style of the House, the 2024 edition is a blend of the 2010, 2011 and 2012 vintages. Its colour reveals a slight evolution, with orange reflections at the edge.
The nose enchants with its complexity and elegance, combining aromas of truffle, undergrowth, ripe black fruit, sweet spices, leather and game. On the palate, the balance is perfect: a silky, fluid texture, remarkably refined tannins, a hint of subtle bitterness and exceptional length. A true demonstration of mastery!
