What a piece of art, the nose of ripe exotic fruit charmed me immediately. The mineral framework is as intense as ever and the aromatics are sublime. The mouth with its unctuous texture retains all the freshness of the greatest Rieslings, it is simply perfect!more reviews

"A crystalline and concentrated aromatic precision (...) a spectacular hold on the palate (...) a musical harmony" R. Parker
With an ultra-refined profile, this Auslese has accents of white flowers, pear and quince that are extremely delicate. With uniquely intense flavours, developing freshness, sweetness and an almost divine roundness, this white wine culminates in a long spicy finish and a sweetness that extends its delicious aromas. It is a masterful wine with natural elegance, undoubtedly one of the finest Rieslings. A great wine to drink now and for many years to come!

Super clean winemaking, leaning toward slighly reductive qualities. With powerful aromas of bruised yellow peaches, lime candy, and petroleum. A fine example of dry German Riesling.

A very expressive wine, and well balanced with nice vegetal (pea) and mineral aromas. Nice straight tension, a pleasant wine that goes perfectly with a white fish starter. Great value for money, and a respectable estate

Extremely pale. A little rawness on the nose. Bright, if slightly simple fruit. Grainy texture on the end. Light and feathery in impact with a lightly bitter grapefruit-peel sensation.

Very good Riesling, sweet, soft and very aromatic. I highly recommend it, it will give satisfaction to white wine lovers. Enjoy it with a good sauerkraut, this Riesling will surprise you.

DR. THANISCH

The Dr. H. Thanisch estate dates back to the 1800s when the Thanisch family settled along the Mosel to operate their first vineyard. Since the beginning of the 19th century, the domaine has fought great fame beyond the borders of the country and this thanks to the historical owner of the domain: the doctor of philosophy, Hugo Thanisch. Since then, the estate has always remained in the hands of the family and today belongs to Mechtild Thanisch. The vineyard is exclusively planted with Riesling and belongs to the absolute elite of the greatest and most fascinating German white wines in the world.
