Weingut Dr Loosen is a legendary German estate, located in the village of Bernkastel, in the heart of the Moselle region for over 200 years. Its six grand cru (GG – Erste Lage) Rieslings, planted ungrafted on slate slopes, produce wines of incomparable minerality with exceptional longevity! Some of these ungrafted vines are over 130 years old, with slopes of 65%, making them the steepest vineyards in the world! The vineyard is worked by hand using mechanical lifts. Only organic fertilisers are used. Winemaker Erni Loosen is a wine legend, a talented and charismatic man, and a great ambassador for German wines. Under his leadership, Dr Loosen has become one of the world's greatest estates and, of course, a member of the prestigious VDP, the very exclusive association of the country's greatest winemakers.
