The Coulée de Serrant was planted in the 12th century by Cistercian monks and has been in vines ever since. The vineyard produces 3 wines of different appellations (Coulée de Serrant, Savennières Roche aux Moines and Savennières). It alone constitutes a controlled designation of origin of 7 hectares. Celebrated by Louis XIV, Alexandre Dumas as one of the best French white wines, it is Nicolas Joly who currently chairs.
