Innovative and perfectly integrated into its surroundings, the organic Tenuta Meraviglia vineyard reflects the vision of the Italian house Dievole in Bolgheri. Based in Tuscany, where it produces several DOC wines (such as the famous Chianti), Dievole brings its expertise to the Bolgheri region through its Tenuta Le Colonne and Tenuta Meraviglia estates. Situated in the upper part of the vineyard, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, Tenuta Meraviglia captures in its single-varietal wines the expression of volcanic soil (Vulcanite di San Vincenzo), combined with the best of the Mediterranean climate. One of the few estates to produce single-varietal wines, the estate uses sustainable farming methods to produce a limited quantity of high-quality wines. Thus, here in the southernmost part of the Bolgheri DOC, red wines made from Cabernet Franc are born, a pure expression of coastal Tuscany. A new generation of ‘Super Tuscans’, these bold wines have broken free from all conventions, before going on to be adored worldwide (the Bolgheri appellation, established in 1994, is now fully mature).
