Of the two estates belonging to the Dievole winery, situated in the southernmost part of the Bolgheri DOC appellation (in Donoratico, south of Livorno), Tenuta Le Colonne occupies a strategic position in the heart of coastal Tuscany. Situated close to the Tyrrhenian Sea, between the Maremma nature reserve and the sandy beaches of San Vincenzo, the 60 hectares of vineyards benefit from sunshine and ventilation particularly suited to the international varieties planted ( Cabernet Sauvignon , Cabernet Franc , Petit Verdot, Syrah and Merlot , as well as white grape varieties such as Vermentino). This microclimate, together with the sandy soils enriched with volcanic rhyolite, limestone and marine marl, produces elegant, fragrant and well-balanced Bolgheri Rosso and Superiore red wines . Cultivated using organic farming methods, the vineyards of Tenuta Le Colonne express the identity of the terroir, respecting nature and the unique wines of Bolgheri.
