This is the first time that a sparkling wine has dethroned French Champagne in this global competition; - Sparkling Wine Champion 2025: The 2016 Blanc de Blancs magnum is the first non-champagne to win the top title. A ‘time capsule’ according to the judges, with 97 points. - Sparkling Winemaker 2025: Cellar manager Cherie Spriggs wins this award for the second time (2018). She remains the only person outside Champagne and the only woman ever to have received it. Nyetimber is one of the most prestigious names in the world of English sparkling wine.
