Founded by Luca Ricci in 1999 – then a recent graduate of the Conegliano School of Oenology – in Collalto di Susegana, in the Prosecco hills (eastern Veneto, north of Treviso), the eponymous estate produces a range of artisanal sparkling wines , including Prosecco DOC and DOCG Conegliano Valdobbiadene Superiore, a few still wines, and seasonal fruit and vegetables, such as apricot and cherry compotes… all sourced from the estate’s own crops. The business stems from a long family tradition – his grandfather Giuseppe was behind Italy ’s first wine route, between Valdobbiadene and Conegliano. His father, Romano, a graduate of the same school as his son, ran a winery – Luca Ricci’s passion for his land is fully expressed through his own winery. Supported by his family and his wife Donatella, whom he met at school, he has developed the Azienda Agricola Luca Ricci by combining respect for local traditions with modern technology. Attentive to the natural evolution of consumers’ tastes and preferences, he is at the helm of a thriving estate, where celebrating the terroir goes hand in hand with quality, ethics and innovation. And for a truly immersive experience, the guesthouse ‘Le Fade’ offers the chance to extend your stay in a charming country house, nestled in the heart of the splendid Prosecco hills.
