Formerly known as Château Cadet, Le Versant du Domaine de l'Aurage has been owned by Louis Mitjavile and his wife Caroline since 2006. The estate covers 20 hectares in the Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. Viticulture is a family affair, as Louis's father, François Mitjavile, owns Château Tertre Roteboeuf and Domaine de Cambes. Since the couple's arrival, significant investments have been made, such as the renovation of the barrel cellar, and they now offer a single cuvée per vintage (Le Versant). It was above all the quality of the vines that attracted them: grass-covered vines planted at high density on clay-limestone soil. Their desire to maintain family traditions is reflected in their wines, which are both elegant and have excellent ageing potential.
