The Amoreau family has distinguished itself as a pioneer in so-called organic and biodynamic cultivation since 1610. Today, with unchanging passion and commitment, the fourteenth generation has entered its domaine in permaculture and the rebirth of ancient grape varieties, to continue to produce naturally authentic wines. The estate is located on a highest point in the Bordeaux region at an altitude of 107 meters, on the same limestone plateau as Saint-Émilion and Pomerol . The vines, with an average age of 50 years, take root in a terroir of limestone with asterias and red clay. On 100 hectares of land, 54 hectares are devoted to production and 46 hectares are dedicated to the Le Puy ecosystem: a compromise between wild areas (forests, ponds, orchards, meadows, etc.) and vines. This biological diversity makes it possible to create a true haven of life around the plots of vines, promoting a symbiosis between the vine, man and his environment.
