Founded in 1859, Maison Ogier is located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape , in the heart of the most legendary appellation in the south of France . Its credo is to showcase this unique terroir, blessed by the gods. To interpret its finest variations, Ogier has developed a perfect knowledge of the appellation's four types of soil and adapted its vinification and ageing processes accordingly. Its century-old cellars, in the heart of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, consist of more than 8,000 hl of wooden vats, demi-muids, barriques and truncated cone-shaped vats, and are unique in the appellation. Ogier thus produces wines that combine fine tannins, pure fruit, freshness, depth and long ageing potential. Ogier also owns Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes, a legendary Châteauneuf-du-Pape created in 1880, which is produced and vinified in an exceptional former priory, where tradition is combined with modernism and excellence.
