The estate was created in 1781 at the foot of the Larzac plateau. La Dourbie takes its name from a small river that flows through the vineyard and then into the Hérault. The current owners took over the estate in 2003 and purchased other plots in exceptional terroirs. The estate is certified organic : 20 hectares adjacent to the estate, 1.8 hectares in the black basalt tuff soils and 12 hectares at an altitude of 300 metres in the Rouveyrolles valley in the heart of the garrigue. In short, Dourbie is a modern, trendy estate that cares about the environment, looks to the future and creates elegant and unique wines!
