The estate was founded by a woman, Georgina, who was widowed after the Second World War and started producing wine on her own. Her daughter Paulette married Jean, and together they took care of the economic development of the wine estate.It was then their son Jacky who brought the estate to prominence thanks to the quality of his wines and his love for the land. He also contributed to the estate as it is today with his planting and restructuring of the vineyard.Jean François took over the family estate in 2000 after studying in Bordeaux and working in South Africa .Since taking over, he has been committed to rediscovering the terroirs of the Loir and Cher, working the soil by ploughing, pruning severely and harvesting by hand.The estate now covers more than 35 hectares. Located on the slopes of the left bank of the Cher, most of the vines enjoy south-south-east exposure. These rich and complex terroirs allow for the production of a varied and colourful range of wines, from young and old vines, some of which are up to 100 years old for certain Pineau d'Aunis varieties.
