INTIPALKA means Valley of the Sun in Quechua, the language spoken in the highlands of Peru. This name refers to the Ica Valley, where INTIPALKA wines and piscos originate, a valley known since ancient times for its exceptional climate and agricultural land. Originally from Italy , the Queirolo family settled in Peru in 1877 and founded their winery, producing wines and piscos. Today, Jorge Queirolo, winemaker and grandson of the winery's founder, is responsible for producing these wines and spirits, which perfectly reflect the character of this magical desert terroir, so fertile and so typical of Peru.
