The history of Graham’s is the story of the Scottish Graham and Symington families, both of whom were instrumental in the creation of fine Port wines . Founded in 1820 by brothers William and John Graham, Graham’s was acquired by the Symington grandsons in 1970, following a long-standing partnership. As such, Graham’s has been an independent, 100% family-owned business for five generations. One of the finest Port houses, Graham’s produces a range of top-quality fortified Portuguese wines at its four quintas (vineyards): Tawny, Ruby, Late Bottled Vintage and Vintage Ports. Renowned for their richness, balanced fortification and excellent ageing potential, Graham’s Ports are crafted from a blend of the estate’s vineyards, using indigenous grape varieties. Situated on the banks of the River Douro, at the heart of Porto’s magnificent hillside vineyards (where both fortified wine and dry red Douro wine are produced), Graham’s Port estates use sustainable and minimal intervention methods to produce their premium Ports and some of the appellation’s finest Vintages.
