Tenuta Gorghi Tondi is located in south-western Sicily on the Mazara del Vallo plain, in the province of Trapani. The estate overlooks the sea and is surrounded by a natural paradise that has been part of the WWF Lake Preola reserve since 1998. Founded by Dora, the great-grandmother of Annamaria and Clara Sala, today the company is run by the Sala sisters under the watchful eye of their father Michele, who has over forty years of experience in Sicilian viticulture. Dora was seduced by the atmosphere of this land, the sun and the light. She bought these lands, which were part of the hunting grounds of the Saporito Princes. These lands consist of two distinct areas located in the districts of Ramisella and San Nicola, totalling nearly 130 hectares. The estate is located in a typical Sicilian "Baglio" built in a traditional style, equipped with the latest technology and an impressive cellar. The architectural style, combined with the beauty of the vineyards, follows the current trend of producing wine while taking into account its primary cultural origins and promoting the region. The winery also has a guest house and a wine tasting room. The Sala sisters' main desire is to offer hospitality to those who want to spend a few days in the countryside surrounded by vineyards stretching towards the sea, which can be admired from the windows of the "Baglio".
