The tremendous success of Bodega Magaña has propelled its wines to the world's finest tables! The Magaña brothers revolutionised the Navarra and Rioja appellations by betting on the introduction of French grape varieties, which were not authorised at the time. The genius idea was to integrate the cultivation of old Merlot vines, whose cuttings came directly from Petrus in Bordeaux. The spirit of the estate's wines evokes the "Grands" of Bordeaux's right bank, and Robert Parker more specifically compares them to the great Pomerols. Present in haute cuisine, the Magaña family's wines have been served for many years by the Spanish royal family at formal dinners and receptions for heads of state.
