Located halfway between Quincy and Châteaumeillant, in the Cher department, Domaine Roux comprises 7.5 hectares in Quincy and 3.3 hectares in Châteaumeillant, two rare and distinctive appellations in the Centre- Loire region. Founded in 1994 by Jean-Claude Roux, a farmer in the Centre-Val de Loire region, and his wife, the family estate has been managed since 2016 by their son Albin. After several years spent in Asia – a passion for travel he shares with his father – Albin Roux continues the meticulous and consistent work of his elder, regularly recognised by the press and in competitions. In the vineyards, the pair prioritise patience, indigenous yeasts, hand-picking and precision at the plot level, driven by a deeply collective ethos of ‘doing things well, together’. For the Roux family, quality takes precedence over quantity, and the balance between nature and cultivation is no empty phrase. Their range of white, red and rosé wines showcases local grape varieties – Sauvignon Blanc , Gamay , Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris – and low yields. Conceived as a faithful reflection of the terroir, each cuvée reveals the freshness, finesse and identity of the soils of Quincy and Châteaumeillant, with the sincere authenticity of two generations of winemakers in perfect harmony.
