A great vineyard soil must have two essential qualities: the ability to drain well and to retain moisture even in very dry periods. Domaine POIRON DABIN is located in Loire -Atlantique in the charming little commune of Château-Thébaud. It lies at the heart of the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine appellation. Fifteen grape varieties are grown here: Melon de Bourgogne , Chardonnay, Pinot Gris , Pinot Noir , Fié Gris, Côt Malbec , the famous Berligou, a red grape variety historically grown by the Dukes of Brittany, Petit Manseng with its summer fruit aromas, and the noble and rich Gewurztraminer, which is well worth discovering. For several years now, the wine has been produced in the most natural way possible. The estate is certified High Environmental Value and the grapes are treated with non-CMR (carcinogenic, mutagenic, reprotoxic) products.
