The estate was created by Peter Sichel over 30 years ago in the Cucugnan Valley, in the heart of the Corbières Massif. In 2019, his grandson Alexander Sichel took over the estate. The size of the vineyard was then reviewed and reduced by 50%, taking care to retain the best plots of vines: a new terroir wine was launched, declared as IGP Pays de Cucugnan, with the aim of achieving a very high level of quality and prestige. In addition to reducing the size of the vineyard, the desire to move with the times and affirm the estate's environmental values led to a conversion to organic and biodynamic farming in the same year.
