Founded on the Meuilley estate in the Côte d'Or, Domaine Marey is a family adventure born out of a passion for the land and its fruits. Starting out as a fruit farm after the Second World War, the estate gradually turned to vines: the first plantings date back to 1980, and the first bottles were produced in 1986. When the third generation arrived in 1990, the estate officially took on its current name.Today, the estate covers around 21 hectares of vines, spread between the Côte de Nuits (Meuilley, Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Aloxe-Corton) and the Côte de Beaune. At the same time, it continues to grow fruit in high season, with more than 30 hectares of fruit and vegetables grown in greenhouses or open fields using sustainable farming methods, which has earned it HVE level 3 certification.The diversity of the terroir is also reflected in an extensive range of wines: Bourgogne Aligoté, whites and reds from the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, prestigious crus such as Gevrey-Chambertin "La Justice", Nuits-Saint-Georges "Les Poisets", and Aloxe-Corton "Les Bruyères", not to mention an elegant Crémant de Bourgogne.In the cellar, careful vinification is ensured thanks to a modern winery that allows precise temperature control, with ageing in oak barrels for a minimum of 12 months. The cuvées produce powerful, aromatic wines with a beautiful tannic structure and ageing potential of up to 20–25 years depending on the appellation.
