It was in 1956 that Le Domaine des Chers had its first harvest with Henri Briday at the helm. Jacques his son continues the work of his father and creates a new range: "old vines". Indeed, some vines are almost 100 years old. The result is wonderful: wines with lower yields and therefore with more concentrated and richer juices. Today, his grandson: Arnaud, refines his style over the years by revealing ever more complex and racy Gamay juices, while preserving the purity of the fruit. The estate covers 4 ha of Juliénas, 1.5 ha of Moulin-à-Vent and 2 ha of Saint-Amour owned, concentrated on the most beautiful plots of the cru, facing south and located on the Beaujolais wine route. Here the culture is reasoned, in the respect of the environment. The work in the vines is adapted to each plot, size and disbudding in order to obtain vintages which correspond to the profiles of the different terroirs. Harvests are manual in order to preserve optimum berry quality. We are happy to present you the precise work of Arnaud's and his fiery passion and his delicious wines!
