If we tell you about 9.5 hectares spread across 108 terraces, painstakingly shaped over more than 30 years, at an altitude of 307 metres, with 495 hours of brush-cutting per year, you might think of a feat… you might think of Bordaxuria. Elorri and Brice, passionate young winemakers, have taken the reins of these steep slopes in Ispourre, in the heart of Irouléguy, to bring out the best in a unique terroir of the Basque Country. Since their first vintage in 2014, they have poured incredible energy into crafting vibrant wines: whites, reds, a rosé … and even an orange wine. On these red sandstone soils, facing the mountains, every bottle tells the story of this magnificent landscape and the passion of two winemakers who aim to produce authentic wines, full of emotion and character.
