Chave is a family name that does not go unnoticed in the Rhône Valley. Natacha's parents owned the Bernard Chave estate ( Hermitage ), which was taken over in the early 2000s by Natacha's brother, Yann Chave. She decided to strike out on her own and in 2004 created the Aléofane estate, initially with 1.5 hectares of vines in the Saint Joseph appellation in Tournon-sur-Rhône. Little by little, Natacha Chave expanded her estate, notably through the purchase of old vines (around 50 years old) in Crozes-Hermitage in Beaumont-Monteux. She also planted mass-selected vines, "to preserve all the complexity of Syrah "! The estate now covers 10 hectares and is certified organic . Although this estate remains relatively low-key, its wines are making a name for themselves and have won over a large audience of enthusiasts.
