When Michel Muré settled in Rouffach, south of Colmar, in the 17th century to cultivate vines, he could never have imagined the wonderful adventure he was setting up for his descendants. In 1935, sensing exceptional quality potential, Alfred Muré added Clos Saint Landelin to his properties, rebuilt the dry stone walls and replanted the 12 hectares of terraces, which are ideally sunny and sheltered from the rain. Today, Domaine Muré covers 28 hectares, 12 of which are represented by Clos Saint Landelin. It is the great-grandchildren Véronique and Thomas, the 12th generation, who passionately cultivate the treasures of this monopoly and the sumptuous surrounding terroirs using biodynamic methods to produce great organic Alsace wines.
