In the heart of the Jurançon hills, between the Pyrenees and the Atlantic, Le Clos Lapeyre is a family estate founded in 1985. Jean-Bernard Larrieu cultivates, vinifies and ages his wines with respect for a unique terroir: silty-clay soils on puddingstone rich in pebbles and siliceous gravel. The estate, with 18 hectares of white vines, has been practising organic viticulture since 2005 and biodynamics since 2013, with steep terraces where each vine takes root deeply. The wines, simple and authentic, range from dry and sweet Jurançons to natural wines, reflecting the purity of the fruit and the energy of the terroir.
