Located on the left bank of the Garonne, 40 km south of Bordeaux, the Sauternes region is a legendary land of worldwide renown, with no fewer than twenty-six Crus Classés in 1855. It was here, on this ancient terroir, known for its ability to produce very high-quality sweet wines, that Olivier Bernard decided in 2011 to write a new chapter with the Domaine de Chevalier team, demonstrating his desire to produce a very fine dry white wine . The success of this venture is the result of an unprecedented encounter: on the one hand, the potential of a great terroir with many facets, and on the other, the expertise and production values that preside over the production of great dry white wines at Domaine de Chevalier. Clos des Lunes is thus at the origin of a particularly innovative revelation in the history of Bordeaux wine.
