The family has been based in the Centre- Loire region for several generations. In the early 1980s, Jean-Marie created Domaine des Clairneaux from scratch in the Sancerre appellation. In 1998, the estate expanded with the takeover of Domaine de Montbenoit in the Coteaux du Giennois, the vineyard of Florian and Clément's grandfather, who now manage the estate. After travelling the world, the latest generation has returned to the family terroirs. Clément, a cellar master in the USA , now devotes himself to winemaking and marketing. Florian, with his experience in Burgundy and New Zealand , manages the vineyard. Since 2015, their convictions have led them to expand into the northern part of the Coteaux du Giennois appellation, in the village of Beaulieu-sur-Loire. Today, they are partnering with talented winemakers to develop their expertise in new appellations in the Centre-Loire region, such as Pouilly-Fumé and Menetou-Salon.
