60 kilometers north of Bordeaux, the Château Vieux Planty vineyard takes root on the right banks of the estuary. Located in the town of Saint Aubin de Blaye, it benefits from the Bordeaux and Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux appellations. Château Vieux Planty, created by the family EARL Ovide & fils in 2001, today covers an area of 36 ha. The grape varieties planted are 72% Merlot , 13% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Sauvignon Blanc . The diversity of the terroirs, clayey-gravelly and clayey-sandy give the grape varieties their full expression and allow the development of a wine for laying down with a powerful and fruity character.
