The vineyards of the Blaye region stretch along the right bank of the Gironde estuary, opposite the Médoc, 45 km from Bordeaux. Château Terre-Blanque is located in the commune of Saint Genès de Blaye, covering an area of 15 hectares in the heart of the Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux AOC. It owes its name to the colour of the soil in the locality of Terre-Blanque, which is entirely included within the estate. This exceptional terroir consists of filtering clay-limestone soil with a subsoil mixed with rocky limestone, sometimes mixed with grey clay: this unique agronomic feature gives the vines exceptional maturity.
