Château Latour is a 65-hectare wine-growing estate located in the Médoc region, in Pauillac , which benefits from the AOC of the same name. It is a "premier grand cru " of the Pauillac vineyard according to the 1855 official classification of Bordeaux wines. It shares this rare distinction with Chateau Margaux, Chateau Lafite Rothschild, Chateau Mouton Rothschild and Chateau Haut-Brion, on a unique terroir where Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) can fully develop and give the wine concentration, colour and tannic structure, and Merlot (20%), Cabernet Franc (4%), and Petit Verdot (1%) give it that extra soul. The great wine of Château Latour only comes from the 47 hectares of the estate's historic Enclos. This unique terroir is the only one able to bring depth, elegance and concentration worthy of what one is entitled to expect from a great wine.
