Built in 1120, La Tour Carnet is undeniably the oldest château in the Médoc! Since then, time has passed and the owners have changed (including the family of Michel de Montaigne around 1500!). Today, the property is in the hands of Bernard Magrez, an ambitious winemaker who also owns Châteaux Pape-Clément, Fombrauge and Haut-Peyraguey. Thanks to the work of Michel Rolland, the estate has been considerably modernised, offering finer wines with a pleasant generosity. In view of these improvements, prices have remained very reasonable, making Tour Carnet one of the best buys in the Médoc!
