This premier grand cru classé of Sauternes is now owned by four co-owners: Robert Peugeot, Olivier Bernard (Domaine de Chevalier), Stéphane von Neipperg (Château Canon-la-Gaffelière) and Xavier Planty. In 2011, Château Guiraud, which puts considerable effort into respecting the natural development of noble rot, became the first cru classé from 1855 to be awarded organic certification. Over the last few vintages, the wines have gained enormously in finesse and minerality, presenting a perfect example of great modern Sauternes!
