The Fourcas-Borie vineyard overlooks two tiny hamlets in Listrac, Fourcas and Tris. Here, more than half of the soil is composed of gravel on a clay base. The rest consists of clay-siliceous soils on a limestone base. The soils add a mineral note to the rich fruit flavours and aromas, giving Fourcas-Borie wines a very distinctive flavour profile. The Fourcas-Borie estate covers nearly 45 hectares. On approximately 35 hectares, the vines are on average 25 years old. The wines are composed of 90% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot.
