With 21 châteaux classified in 1855, the Margaux appellation has the highest number of classified growths in the Médoc. The vineyards of Château Ferrière are mainly located in the commune of Margaux and its terroir is composed of very deep Garonne gravel deposited on calcareous marl. The beauty of its terroir makes Château Ferrière wine a rare and prized product. In 2015, Château Ferrière obtained Organic Agriculture certification and since this year, the estate has been converting to biodynamics, a certification that will be effective in 2017. It took several years to implement this process. It was necessary to familiarise ourselves with it and integrate it into the daily life of the estate.
