The Girardin family has cultivated vines for 13 generations and the estate grew in the 1960s thanks to Jean Girardin, who notably acquired the Château de la Charrière. After a childhood spent in the vineyards and in the cellar, Yves developed a passion for this wine culture. In 1981, the family domain of 12 hectares was shared and Yves was at the head of a 3 hectare farm. Wanting to expand and diversify the range of his appellations, he buys vines in Chassagne- Montrachet , Pommard and currently operates 21.50 hectares. In 2003, Yves acquired the Château de la Charrière, the family property. The operation expands with the construction of a new cellar. In 2011, Benoît returned to the estate after studying in Beaune and Bordeaux in order to perpetuate the family know-how.
